Summer found herself in the unfortunate position of taking the blame for one of Apple's thefts, and not only spent time in jail but also was the victim of an inmate's wrath that led to the disfigurement of one side of her face before she was acquitted of all charges and allowed to pursue her law degree.
Quinn had a lucrative dream career stretching out before him as an author who'd already won numerous accolades despite his youth. Though he'd returned to his livelihood after the summer with the woman he'd fallen so hard for, his heart prevented him from keeping away until they could see each other again the following summer as they planned.
