When her adoptive mum falls ill, Pumpernickel - a changeling that has embraced her human parents - embarks on a quest for a magic potion that could save her life. The only problem is that it's made up of forbidden ingredients, the gathering of which would make her an enemy of all of Faery. But none of that will matter if she can't survive a meeting with the Corpse King.
